Plymouth (04/04/22) – Three news advisers have joined the Continuum team in South Wales and Lancashire as the national IFA firm continues to grow.
Nick Howells DipPFS Bsc (Hons) and Darran Curtis have both joined the Continuum team in South Wales, and Rob Buckley has joined the team in Lancashire.
Nick specializes in advising high net worth individuals and corporate clients and has held a number of wealth management roles.
He chose to join the Continuum team due to its commitment to an independent approach.
Nick said: “I wanted to be part of an award-winning company, and Continuum’s record of growth and success was an important factor. But even more important was the Continuum approach. It will let me provide holistic financial advice that is independent to clients and deliver exceptional service through ongoing advice.
“Above all, it will allow me to do more for my clients, establish long term trusted relationships by understanding what really matters to them as individuals and their families to help them achieve their aspirations. This is an approach that I know Continuum shares.”
Darran has a very broad skillset gained from 26 years of working within financial services. He specializes in investments, pension planning, inheritance tax planning, and protection for individuals, families and corporates.
He said that Continuum offered him the best destination in order to progress his career whilst continuing to deliver excellent client outcomes.
Darran said: “Whatever the topic, my clients rely on me to help make the choices that are suitable for them. Being independent is vital – being able to select products from across the entire market means that I can provide value in the short term and the most appropriate outcomes in the long term.
“So, I chose Continuum as a destination to progress my career. It means that I can offer the independence and broad nature of what I do – but with the support of a highly professional team.
“Continuum believe in the importance of putting the clients at the heart of the organisation. It is proud of its proven track record of delivering excellent client outcomes and building lasting relationships and I would not have been comfortable making the move without these qualities. But there are other reasons. There is a supportive, almost family approach within the organisation, which makes for a very positive and rewarding working environment.
“Then of course there is Continuum’s commitment to technology and building the systems which support the work of its advisers. Spending more time face to face with clients and less staring at a computer screen and bogged down in admin is better for everyone.”
Darran and Nick will both be based in Cardiff and have joined Continuum from Schroders Personal Wealth.
Lancashire-based Financial Planner Rob Buckley joined the Continuum team in March along with a client bank approaching 100 clients. He specialises in pensions and investments.
He chose to join Continuum as he was looking for a firm that would allow him to grow further whilst adding genuine value and service to his clients.
He said: “The world has moved on a long way in recent years, and there are many more solutions for anyone looking to make the most of their pensions in particular, and investments in general. Continuum is ideally placed to help me ensure all my clients have access to the full range of products from the entire market – and being independent means that I can help them find the most appropriate answers for their needs.”
Rob joins Continuum from True Potential.
Martin Brown, Managing Partner at Continuum, said: “I am delighted to welcome Nick, Darran and Rob to the Continuum team. They all have valuable expertise and a commitment to offering support and advice based on proven skills. Putting clients’ needs first, whatever we do, is a commitment we all share.”
