Patcham High School & The Globe

Mike Pattenden, one of our Financial Advisers, has recently sponsored Patcham High School’s recent English trip to London.

The school said: "Without Mike's donation our students wouldn't have been able to experience a magnificent Shakespeare production of Romeo & Juliet at The Globe. THANK YOU SO MUCH!"

Everest Base Camp Trek

In November, Andy Riddle, who has recently joined Continuum as a Paraplanner, based in Head Office, will be undertaking a 12-day trek to Everest Base Camp together with his youngest son, Ben and his daughter, Sophie.

As Andy explained; ‘I have always had a fascination with Everest and so this trek has been top of my bucket list for many years. It will be a challenging trek, as Base Camp itself is over 17,000 feet and altitude sickness can be a common problem. Ben is a fireman and Sophie a nurse so hopefully between them they can look after the old man!’

Andy is also raising funds for Prostate Cancer UK after his good friend, former England footballer, Mick Harford, was unexpectedly diagnosed with the condition in 2021 after a routine test and is thankfully making a good recovery. As Andy added, ‘Mick’s diagnosis came as a complete shock to him, but it shows the importance of any man over 50 getting tested for the condition’.
