Ryan Bunyan is the latest professional to join the growing team of award-winning national advisory firm, Continuum.
Ryan will be working in and around the Edinburgh area, but with clients all over Scotland, he is looking forward to helping a growing list of personal and corporate clients with all aspects of their financial planning.
He previously worked at HSBC Premier for 11 years as an international business specialist and relationship manager, eventually becoming an advisor with a portfolio of high net worth clients. He developed his skills with a diploma in Regulated Financial Services from the prestigious professional body, the Chartered Insurance Institute.
He saw that being tied to the bank restricted what he could do for his clients and made the decision to become an Independent Financial Advisor.
“As an IFA I was able to put my clients first, and provide unbiased bespoke financial advice, advising on products from across the whole market.”
It was an approach that made joining the Continuum team the logical next step in his career.
As he explains, “I found my real focus when I became a financial adviser supporting private, business and corporate clients. Every client has their own financial objectives and challenges. Finding the best way to help them overcome those challenges and reach their goals has always been my objective. It is part of the Continuum philosophy too.”
The move will see Ryan developing his already extensive financial services experience still further with the extra support and facilities of the award-winning Continuum team, where he will continue to build his expertise. He mentions how technology is changing the sector and its importance to IFAs like himself.
“It’s clear how much Continuum invest in technology and support for their advisers. Yes, it helps with the routine aspects of what I do, but its real benefits are that it allows for an outstanding customer experience and gives me more time to spend with my clients to help them achieve their goals and objectives.”
“The simple truth is that I believe that working with Continuum will help me to make the service I provide even better. Continuum is independent, which means that I really can find the most suitable solutions for clients.”
“Anyone who works in the financial sector should be aware of Continuum. When I started looking around towards the end of my time in my previous role, I saw just what Continuum were doing. I liked the Continuum approach and way of working, not least that it echoed my own – clients’ needs always come first. It was that and the remarkable record of success and growth that Continuum has been demonstrating that prompted me to make the decision to join.”
Continuum’s Managing Partner Martin Brown welcomes Ryan. “Client needs are at the core of the Continuum way of working and Ryan’s approach is the perfect match for our own. We are very pleased to welcome him – and his experience and enthusiasm – to the team. Both Continuum and our clients are going to benefit from the skills that he brings.”
Ryan sums up his thinking about Continuum. ‘Continuum is both a very friendly and highly professional team. But even more important it is an award-winning business, that sets high standards for the services it provides.
I’m very fortunate to be joining them – because working with Continuum will help me do more for my clients.”
