Continuum grows in Tyneside

The Continuum team covers the UK and now includes a financial expert in Tyneside.

Stephanie McClarence has joined the team as a Chartered Financial Planner serving Newcastle and the surrounding area. She joins having built up several yearsโ€™ experience in the financial services sector as a Chartered Financial Planner.

She is particularly excited about the move: โ€œIโ€™m very pleased to be joining such a highly professional team which has its sights set firmly on the future.โ€

Stephanie will be able to deliver independent advice and more support to her clients in both their personal and business lives.

โ€œI work with people who have the usual range of personal financial needs โ€“ and particularly with people looking at their pension plans. But I have also built a speciality with those who are running their own small businesses. Running an SME in any sector can be a major headache and having a financial expert to call on can make all the difference. Joining Continuum means that I can meet more people with an even broader range of personal and business challenges.โ€

โ€œSupporting clients and SMEs, and helping them establish and achieve their lifetime financial goals โ€“ thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m looking forward to with Continuum.โ€

Every financial adviser has their own approach. How does Stephanie work with her clients?

โ€œFirst and foremost, I enjoy meeting people, and getting to know the goals that motivate them and issues that worry them. But it is the stage after that, putting what I have learned to work that is the most rewarding. For me โ€“ and for Continuum - it means creating individual financial plans that provide the solutions clients need. I think the most important part of my job is removing clients fear, worry and stress around their finances.

The best way to do that is by being able to analyse their current circumstances, and to create a plan that will help them overcome the challenges and reach their agreed goals. Then of course, I need to clearly explain how we will achieve the agreed goals and the milestones along the way.โ€

โ€œThere are plenty of people with financial questions, and very real challenges right now. I want to be part of the solution, especially when it comes to closing the pension gap between men and women.โ€

What about the future?

My objective in life has always been to continually grow in knowledge and expertise as I progress through my career. Having professional qualifications is important. Iโ€™m proud of being able to call myself a Chartered Financial Planner. But even more valuable is experience. The more people I work with and help, the more I know I can do.

As part of the Continuum team, I can call on support for the services I provide, but still have the freedom to ensure that the solutions I offer can be based on the best outcome for each client. Continuum always believes in putting the client first and so do I!โ€

Continuumโ€™s Managing Partner Martin Brown is delighted to have Stephanie join the team. โ€œOur commitment is always to clients. We are committed to providing them with the very best solutions. Stephanie has demonstrated her professional and personal skills and her determination and ambition are the perfect fit for our own.

She will be strengthening our presence in the Newcastle area. That is good news for us โ€“ and for the people and businesses in the region who she will be ready to help.โ€
