(02.10.26) – Financial adviser Luca Loader has returned to Continuum, where he first began his career in the advice market.

Luca has joined the partnership as an Independent Financial Adviser based in Basingstoke.

He began his career as an administrator, and then a paraplanner at Continuum for four years, where he built up his technical knowledge, and now returns to build his own advice business within the partnership.

Luca said that returning to Continuum feels like coming home to family.

He said: “Continuum feels like a safe and natural home within which to build my own business. I began my career within Continuum and whilst I moved on elsewhere for a while I never found the same sense of community and combined purpose anywhere else.

“We are all Continuum and share the same values as well as a strong brand identity. It is the best combination in my mind as being part of the partnership binds you psychologically, whilst the advisers are still able to keep the independence of steering their own business.”

Luca returns from Sterling House Financial Management where he was an Independent Financial Adviser. He holds a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

He would recommend paraplanning as an entry route for anyone considering entering the financial advice profession as it gave him a great understanding of the advice process and how the industry works as a whole.

He said: “Nowadays there are lots of routes into the profession, but for me, paraplanning still offers the best option. Paraplanning not only gave me a solid technical background, but it also helped me understand how the whole process works and what all roles bring to the table.

“It offers a great natural progression into financial advice that technical qualifications alone cannot bring. It hashelped me appreciate, manage and train others that I work with now, plus it has helped me to avoid a lot of guess work along my journey.”

Luca’s first experience of the profession came at the age of 16 after being unimpressed by his options through careers fairs and school advisers.

Due to being talented at problem solving, and enjoying working with people, he was looking for a career where he could combine both when a family friend introduced him to Continuum’s Liam Butchers. Two years later after finishing college, it was Liam who offered him his first job as an administrator in his team.

During his time at Continuum, Luca discovered aparticular interest in helping company directors and high net worth individuals with retirement and estate planning.

He particularly enjoys working with clients to help them with intergenerational wealth transfer alongside their wider family unit.

He has found that being part of a strong partnership like Continuum not only offers marketing and branding, but also provides backup and reassurance when working on complex cases.

He said: “Continuum has a great framework which is structured and reliable. There is a really strong compliance team overseeing the advice process with thorough oversight of all advice. This lets you know that you are in safe hands, providing peace of mind for both adviser and client.

“The succession scheme also provides great opportunities for young advisers, like myself, that are building up their client book with the opportunity to inherit clients, knowing that they have been treated with the same ethos, attention to detail and level of service that is offered by all Continuum advisers within our partnership.”

The advisers within the Continuum partnership are all happy to welcome Luca back into the fold.

Jim Reeve, Interim Managing Partner at Continuum, said: “The whole partnership are happy to welcome Luca home to Continuum, and are excited to see him build his business here.

“Luca’s commitment to delivering high-quality advice and building long-term client relationships make him a natural fit for Continuum. His focus on putting clients first and satisfaction he gets from helping them meet their goals aligns perfectly with our values.
